league games without a win the club said in a statement on Tuesday It was Inter’s second managerial change of another disappointing season with the club seventh in Serie A Youth coach Stefano Vecchi will take charge of the remaining games of the campaign Former Lazio coach Pioli succeeded Frank de Boer in November and got off to a promising start by winning eight of his first 10 league games in charge That ignited a push for a return to the Champions League although those hopes were extinguished by a 2-1 defeat at home to Sampdoria at the start of April the first of five losses in their next six games Inter who have won 18 Serie A titles are 29 points adrift of leaders and historic rivals Juventus in the standings and have suffered a steep decline in recent seasons Inter monopolised the title in the five years following the Calciopoli corruption scandal in 2006 which saw Juventus relegated In 2010 they completed a treble of the league domestic Cup and Champions League under Jose Mourinho who left for Real Madrid after lifting the club’s third European Cup Inter have struggled since the Portuguese’s departure however and Pioli was their ninth coach in seven years The club’s fall has coincided with the decline of Serie A which has struggled to keep pace commercially with the Premier League and La Liga while Juventus have dominated on the pitch and are now on the verge of winning a sixth consecutive title Inter were purchased by Chinese retail giant Suning Commerce Group last June the second time the club has changed hands in three years That prompted a close-season spending spree on new arrivals such as Joao Mario and Antonio Candreva in a bid to improve on their fourth-placed finish the previous season The new campaign got off on the wrong note however beginning with a loss at Chievo and a draw at home to Palermo and a shock 2-0 defeat at home to Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva A first win over Juventus in four years could not save De Boer and now Pioli has met the same fate six months later Pioli’s sacking was announced at around the same time as Juventus booked their place in the Champions League final with their current dominance of Italian August 15 in their lives Amitabh Bachchan – We today are breathing the air of a free environment and that is possible only because of the freedom that we enjoy Katrina Kaif – The word ‘Independence’ brings to my mind the sacrosanct freedom of speech Every individual should enjoy freedom in India which is the largest democracy in the world We should remember not to undermine the efforts of those who helped us secure this freedom One thing that I love about India is that everything is like a beautiful chaos There is so much of beauty and want in this chaos Although we complain and crib sometimes at the end we can definitely find beauty in this chaos Saif Ali Khan – Freedom is something that all of us should cherish because not every country is free and I am proud that I am a citizen of the world’s largest democracy We should value freedom Lots of people gave their lives so that we could live free today What I would like to see is a more secular India once again Sometimes I get this feeling that we have become slightly polarised especially with the religious Hindu-Muslim stands we take which can be divisive I would like us to accept the fact that with freedom we should really accept each other and be more tolerant and openly accepting towards each others religions and faiths We need to see each other as Indians rather than belonging to a particular state or religion Actress Kriti Sanon said “In India everyone should have the same freedoms be it a girl or boy upper caste or lower caste or from any religion In some places girls are still not educated put other restrictions if we raise such small questions on a basic level then that’s the way to go towards freedom” ‘Masaan’ star Richa Chadha said “Freedom for every Indian girl first and foremost is to take birth She should then take up education choose the career of her choice and marry the person she wishes to As of now if something of this magnitude happens it’d still be a significant development” “Freedom cannot truly exist unless you know what a great valuable opportunity it is With freedom comes responsibility If you know your fundamental rights and duties in a better manner you can enjoy freedom in a better way as citizens of the country and citizens of the world” Dia Mirza said Kunal Kapoor – This Independence Day I would wish for a courruption-free India and I believe this change can be brought by the common people especially the youth Young people in the country are not materialistic We are looking to contribute and just need to find the right avenues but till the time you find that you need to start bringing about a change in your own work That is what I learnt in Rang De Basanti and it has stayed with me for long You don’t have to be a politician to bring about a change As long as the thing that you are doing you do with a certain sense of responsibility and morality you are doing it well enough Share This Article Related Article Mahesh Bhatt – Miles to go that anybody playing T20 cricket needs to find their way to maximize each ball they face He said “Everybody who plays T20 cricket has to find a way of how to maximise each ball they face You will find many examples of better cricketers who have been successful in T20 cricketwithout necessarily looking agricultural as they say They have played good cricketing shots and managed to get runs” He said that headlines are made every time an unknown batsman scores big in the competition “So I think over the ten years of IPL and T20 cricket around the world I know it comes up every time someone who has got his runs who is not known or is not a massive six hitter But this has been happening for many years now I think guys are becoming a lot more accommodating for players like that” Amla said Giving credit to the opposite team he said that Gujarat played positively to end up winning the match “Obviously it is very disappointing to lose target of 190 was a pretty decent score But you’ve got to give credit to Gujarat in the way they came out and they played so positively and managed to kind of negate whatever advantage we had earlier on” said Amla who has triple hundred next to his name The South African player also spoke about his side’s unimpressive fielding He felt that they were not at their best in the game “Dropped catches are part of game it’s going to happen now and then Before this game we have done exceptionally well on the field and had great fielding efforts throughout the campaign But this is one game when we haven’t been at our best and that happens However he said that even though the result did not go in their favour the fielders have proven their worth and are hence allowed to drop a catch or two “Guys who drop catches you know how brilliant fielders they are so it’s only natural that they are allowed to drop couple here and there But I said it’s part of the game Unfortunately in this game it (the result) didn’t go in our favour” he said “We know any team that is going to be successful has to be consistent I like to think that our bowlers have done exceptional job at times but you’ve got to get credit to Gujarat Defending here in Mohali is very difficult it’s a big field the wicket was playing pretty good I will not be too critical about our bowling unit I like to acknowledge Gujarat’s fine battingdisplay to get to a good score” Amla praised the Lions He said that the only way ofPunjab making it to the final four is causing upsets and winning the remianing games “We were not at our best against Gujarat It’s just about finding consistency We are still in the competition which is a wonderful thing If we manage to win the remaining of our games cause some upsets here and there then we get to reach the final four” Amla said “We watched that innings in the change room before we went out to play It was great to see those guys bat like that Every ball seemed like either four or a six which is quite entertaining In T20 cricket that’s what happens There are certain things when you play attacking cricket you end up with some brilliant performances like these two guys (Narine and Lynn)” For all the latest Sports News download Indian
